As a makeup artist, having some knowledge and confidence in dealing with your clients skincare is essential to creating that perfect base for makeup application. I decided to talk to skin expert Jennie Lawson about all things skincare and the main things I learned were:

• Encouraging clients to invest in getting a facial and some expert skincare advice is ok! It will help to make them look and feel even more amazing prior to their event.

• Having tea tree oil in the skincare kit is going to be helpful when dealing with problematic blemishes!

• Cosmeceutical brands may be a little more expensive but they save you money in the long run.
